Karen was able to get out of bed this morning and bathe. Amazing how much better she felt after washing her hair. She tried eating breakfast, but it was a no go. She was able to eat solid food at lunch and supper, including the apple pie and ice cream that Suzanne snuck in. And she does have some sense of taste!!!! The pot roast wasn't all that good, the green beans needed salt, the mouth mosturizer was mint, the pudding tasted like pudding, the ice cream was vanilla, and the pie was apple. Headaches aren't as severe or as frequent, have found the right drug. Not having the nauseua. Doesn't barf when I walk in the room.
The doctor stated some cancer was found higher up than what was originally thought, but feel they got it. We don't yet know the results of the full body scan done on Thursday or the MRI done after the surgery.

Wonderful news! I'm really glad (and relieved) Karen still has her sense of taste!! So glad she is feeling well enough bathe and eat! Bet you're glad about the bathing part! :-) Now about that birthday cake! Everything sounds encouraging and I'm anxious to hear about the scans and some more details.
