Day 3

Karen was moved from ICU this evening. I walked in to her new digs, she saw me, and grabbed the barf bucket. This is getting ridiculous.
She is still having terrible headaches. Probably from not having solid foods for the past 48 hours. She is on a liquid diet. And the medication isn't all that good on an empty stomach, either.
The ENT doctor was in. The story has changed from yesterday. He did scrape some of the left side, but feels she will still have some sense of smell. Time will tell.
The swelling around the nose is going down. Her lips are still swelled and raw from the breathing tube during the surgery.
Visiting hours tomorrow aren't until noon.
She is in room 7226-2, Mercy Hospital. Just in case you have to call, but I prefer that you don't and let her sleep. It's the only time she isn't feeling bad.

Gosh...still barfing? Yikes! Is Karen in a private room or does she have a roommate? OK...I won't call because I know she needs her rest and I'm really glad you are keeping us updated on her progress! And, hope you are getting some rest now too, Dennis!
Sending lots of love, hugs & good healing vibes,
Kris
